The South Lincs swimmers were in action over the weekend of the 30th April and the 1st May at our very own Tulip Open Meet, held in Spalding and sponsored by Bakkavor. The swimmers set numerous new personal best times and collected a host of medals over the weekend in a fine display of swimming.

Lillie Hamilton collected medals of all colours over the weekend. There was a hat trick of gold medals as Lillie stormed to the top of the podium in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke in new personal best times of 1.30.28 and 3.08.25 respectively. Lillie’s third gold came in the 200 IM. There were silver medals in the 100 and 200 butterfly again in new personal best times of 1.18.62 and 2.52.73 respectively. Lillie added a bronze medal to her collection in the 200 freestyle

Aidan Evans topped the podium in the 200 butterfly as he claimed gold in the event in a time of 2.59.85. Aidan also collected six bronze medals in the 200 freestyle, the 200 breaststroke and the 200 IM. Aidan’s other bronze medals came in the three backstroke events where he set new personal best times. In the 50 backstroke there was PB of 35.64 seconds, in the 100 backstroke Aidan touched the wall in 1.17.21 and in the 200 backstroke there was a further PB of 2.44.47

Will Vere collected a brace of bronze medals over the weekend. Will made it a podium finish in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 3.36.30. Will also stormed to a new personal best time in the 200 backstroke of 2.51.03 to claim a further bronze medal.

Daniela Bringeman collected 6 medals over the course of the weekend. Daniela took four silver medals all in new personal best times in the 100 butterfly, the 200 IM and in both the 100 and 200 backstroke. For good measure Daniela also collected bronze medals in the 100 and 200 breaststroke

Sigourney Bolton collected a hat trick of silver medals in her preferred breaststroke events as she made the podium in the 200, 100 and 50m events, the latter in a new personal best time of 39.62 seconds. Sigourney also collected a bronze medal in her first ever 100 butterfly as she finished in 1.23.19. There was a further bronze medal for Sigourney in the 100 backstroke, again in a new PB of 1.21.43

Kitty Lamb was in action over the weekend and contested 11 events, set nine new personal best times and collected an awesome 11 gold medals. Some of Kitty’s highlights were in the 200 breaststroke where there was a personal best time of over four seconds as Kitty stopped the clock in 3.17.64. There was a six second drop in the 200 freestyle as Kitty set a new standard of 2.32.47. In the 100 freestyle Kitty broke the seventy second barrier for the first time as she set a new mark of 1.09.62

Sophie Wilson struck gold in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2.48.29 and also added a hat trick of bronze medals to her personal haul. Sophie made it a medal finish in the 200 freestyle, the 200 IM and the 200 butterfly

Lucy Wilson collected no fewer than seven medals over the course of the weekend. Lucy swam to silver in the 200 freestyle with a new personal best time of 2.29.60. There were further silver medals for Lucy in the 100 freestyle and both the 100 and 200 butterfly. Lucy took bronze medals in both the 50 butterfly and the 200 breaststroke in new personal best times of 35.98 seconds and 3.14.12 respectively. For good measure Lucy added a further bronze medal in the 200 IM

Charlie Bisby found some fine form over the weekend as he claimed no fewer than 10 gold medals and 2 silver medals out of twelve events! Charlie also set new personal best times in eleven of his swims. Some of Charlie’s highlights included a seventeen second PB in the 200 breaststroke as he touched the wall in a new standard of 3.32.08. In the 200 backstroke Charlie dropped over seven seconds from his PB to finish in a time of 2.47.33. In the 200 freestyle there was almost a five second improvement as Charlie touched home in a new mark of 2.30.44

Andre Ubaviciute marked her return to competitive swimming with a host of strong performances, following a two year break. Andre struck gold in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1.23.76. There was a silver medal in the 100 freestyle and a new personal best time of 1.03.53. Andre also took silver medals in the the 200 freestyle and the 200 breaststroke. For good measure Andre took a bronze medal in the 50 freestyle

Charlotte Ciuberkyte won a hat trick of medals over the weekend. Charlotte took silver medals in both the 50 and 100 breaststroke. However it was a stunning swim in the 200 IM that saw Charlotte smash her personal best time as she touched the wall in a new standard of 2.50.92 to claim the bronze medal

Lexie Hamilton couldn’t stop setting new personal best times over the weekend and was duly rewarded with a hat trick of medals. Lexie took silver in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1.20.94. Lexie also collected bronze medals in the 200 freestyle and the 200 backstroke in times of 2.33.70 and 2.50.17 respectively

Kieran Ng won no fewer than eight silver medals over the weekend. Kieran took second place in new personal best times in the 50 freestyle, the 50 breaststroke, the 100 butterfly, the 200 backstroke and the 200 IM. There was also a bronze medal for Kieran in the 100 freestyle

Lilli Bowman stormed to victory in the 200 freestyle with a fantastic new personal best time of 2.21.64. Lilli also collected silver medals in the 50 breaststroke and the 200 backstroke, the former in a new personal best time of 42.95 seconds. There were a further five bronze medals for Lilli including in her first ever attempt at the 200 butterfly where she posted an excellent time of 3.01.53

Stefano Fiore had a successful weekend of racing with a host of new personal best times being set and a haul of medals won. Stefano struck gold in the 200 breaststroke with a big new personal best time of 2.50.17. Stefano collected seven silver medals, of particular note was his silver in the 100 breaststroke with another big new personal best time of 1.19.26 and in the 50 backstroke with a new PB of 33.42 seconds. Stefano also took bronze in the 200 freestyle in a great new PB of 2.18.24

Frank Lamb was in action over the weekend contesting a big programme of events. Frank swam in no fewer than twelve events and won nine gold medals and three silver medals. Frank’s highlights included gold in the 50 freestyle with a new PB of 30.68 seconds and in the 50 breaststroke with a new PB of 38.96 seconds. Frank also set a new PB in the 100 freestyle as he claimed silver in a time of 1.06.25

Hannah Bruce also won a medal in every event she contested over the weekend. Hannah took gold as she topped the podium in both the 200 freestyle and the 200 IM. Hannah collected four silver medals in the 50 and 100 freestyle and the 100 and 200 butterfly, the latter in an excellent new PB of 2.59.32. For good measure Hannah took bronze in the 50 butterfly also in a new personal best time of 33.99 seconds

Matteo Monaco was in medal winning form at the Tulip Open Meet. Matteo won a hat trick of gold medals as he swam to victory in both the 50 and 100 backstroke, the former in a new personal best time of 33.61 seconds. There was also a big PB in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1.05.70 that gave Matteo his third gold. Matteo also took a silver medal in the 50 butterfly with a further PB of 33.94 seconds

Susannah Poll was competing in only her second competition, but that didn’t stop her winning a hat trick of medals. Susannah stormed to victory in the 50 breaststroke with a brilliant new personal best time of 58.33 seconds. Susannah also took on the 50 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke for the first time and claimed silver medals in both events

Sophia Shackleston contested eight events over the weekend and set big new personal best times in all of her swims. Sophia also collected medals in all the breaststroke events. There was a silver for Sophia in the 200 breaststroke with a new PB of 3.35.54. Sophia struck bronze in both the 50 and 100 breaststroke, again in new personal best times of 47.29 seconds and 1.43.57 respectively

Kieran Lucy produced a fine swim in the 100 freestyle and set a big new personal best time of 1.24.78 to claim his first medal with the club, a bronze in the boys 11 years age group. Kieran also set a new personal best time in the 50 backstroke of 45.10 seconds

Francesco Monaco collected a haul of seven gold medals and one silver medal over the weekend. Francesco dropped more than three seconds in the 200 IM to finish in a new standard of 3.09.21. In the 100 breaststroke Francesco also lowered his personal best time by more than two seconds to touch the wall in a new PB of 1.45.79. Both events saw Francesco take the gold medal in his age group

It was a hat trick of medals for Aaron Sadler in the boys 12 years age group. Aaron showed his butterfly prowess as he claimed bronze medals in both the 50 and 100 butterfly in new personal best times of 35.41 seconds and 1.21.87 respectively. In the longer 200 butterfly Aaron stormed to the silver medal in a big new personal best time of 3.01.93

Isaac Bowman wracked up five medals over the course of the weekend. Isaac struck silver in both the 100 freestyle and the 200 IM, the latter in a personal best time of more than 20 seconds as Isaac touched the wall in 3.25.88. Isaac also took three bronze medals all in new personal best times, in the 200 freestyle Isaac set a new PB of 2.46.84, in the 200 backstroke it was a PB of 3.21.77 and in his first 100 butterfly it was a great first time of 1.41.09

Emily Briggs also took five medals at the meet. Emily set new personal best times in every event she swam showing her tremendous improvements. There was silver in the 200 backstroke in a new PB of 2.48.47. There was also silver in the 50 backstroke with a further PB of 37.98 seconds. Emily also took home three bronze medals, in the 100 backstroke and in both the 100 and 200 butterfly

Lucie Lund picked up no fewer than five gold medals at the Tulip Open Meet. In a very strong swim in the 200 butterfly Lucie swept to the top of the podium in a new personal best time of 2.42.82. Lucie also took home gold medals in the 50 and 100 butterfly and in the 100 and 200 backstroke. For good measure Lucie also collected silver in the 50 backstroke in a new personal best time of 35.31 seconds

Heidi Woodrow was a medalist over the weekend. Heidi took a bronze medal in the 50 butterfly in the girls 11 years age group with a new personal best time of more than half a second. Heidi stopped the clock in a new standard of 43.63 seconds

Jess Herriott was in fine form over the weekend setting new personal best times in all events she contested. Jess also collected a pair of silver medals in the girls 13 years age group in both the 100 and 200 backstroke. Jess finished in new personal best times of 1.20.22 and 2.53.78 respectively

To round out the weekend of competition, Charlie Bisby and Kitty Lamb were presented with the trophies for Top Junior Boy and Top Junior Girl respectively. Justin Noble and Vita Kezixa of Bakkavor, the principal sponsors of South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club, awarded the trophies to both swimmers.
