Information Relating to all League Gala’s

Our club is part of three leagues referred to below.  These are team events and the team is selected by the coaching staff based on age, personal best times and ability.  They are competitions against other clubs and consist of all strokes swum at 25m, 50m or 100m, for individuals based on gender and age, and also include freestyle and medley relays.  Swimming is mostly an individual sport but these galas allow our swimmers to compete as a team. Thes galas are not licenced and so any individual times achieved will not appear on the ASA Rankings against the swimmers’ personal best time.

A list of those selected is placed on the notice board on the balcony, e-mailed out and on our website.  If you are selected it is important that you let the head coach know of your availability as soon as possible as he has to work to strict time frames to comply with league rules.  You can confirm your availability by placing a tick next to you name on the list or by e-mailing the head coach at callum.lawson.cl@googlemail.com .

Where these galas are hosted by other swimming clubs, we are required to provide 2 timekeepers and 1 Judge.  If you are qualified and able to assist please let the Competition Secretary or head coach know.
